The Vice Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has asserted that the NPP has made significant achievements and sacrifices for the country.

Addressing a gathering of Methodist Church members recently, Dr. Opoku Prempeh, affectionately known as NAPO, stated that the NPP government, in its eight years in power, has implemented several policies and intervention programs for the masses.

Highlighting his government’s achievements, NAPO emphasized that interventions such as the Free SHS, the creation of 2.3 million jobs, and the implementation of the National Health Insurance Scheme deserve the NPP government a significant victory in the December 2024 elections, rather than criticisms and backlash from the public.

He has, therefore, urged Ghanaians to retain the NPP government to continue its successful initiatives.

“No party will want to lose an election, especially for a party that we have killed ourselves so much for the country. A party that has brought Free SHS, a party that for 8 years the light has been on, a party that has created 2.3 million jobs, a party that is doing apprenticeships in vocational and technical training, a party that has brought the National Health Insurance, a party that believes in insurance like the Methodist believes in Donewell, a party that is building 111 hospitals across the country and not building mortuaries in Zongos, that party deserves to continue doing its good work and not be painted in the countryside in the way that we were painted four years ago,” he urged.
