Private Legal Practitioner, Lawyer Maurice Ampaw has described as needless the press conference organized by the National Communications officer of the main opposition National Democratic Congress, (NDC) Sammy Gyamfi on "family and friends government" in President Akufo-Addo's administration.

To him, all the political parties in the country are "full of family and friends; both the NPP and the NDC are a group of families and when they win power, they share the positions among themselves”.

Speaking on Okay FM’s 'Ade Akye Abia' Morning Show, Lawyer Maurice Ampaw said “When you go to church, we say that we have joined a Christian family and we are one, and so NDC as a family and NPP as a family, when they win elections, are they not the same people who share the positions among themselves?” he asked.

He reiterated that "that is why the issue of family and friends government to me, is neither here nor there”.

The NDC through its National Communications Officer, Sammy Gyamfi on Tuesday accused the New Patriotic Party [NPP] government led by President Akufo-Addo of nepotism in a press conference – describing the President as the "most nepotistic President in the world".

The NDC indicated that at least 51 persons related to the President have been appointed into government.
