NPP has fulfilled hospital promise through Agenda 111 - Chief of Kejeji

Nana Krunku Sunkwa, Kyidomhene and acting president of Nkomi Traditional Area in the Bono East Region, has subtly endorsed the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government, pointing out that the NPP always fulfils their campaign promises.

He recounted that President Akufo-Addo promised them a modern medical facility to help improve access to healthcare in the area, and they (NPP) have delivered through the construction of Agenda 111 hospital.

Addressing a durbar to officially welcome Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh to their area on Friday, September 13, 2024, he said President Akufo-Addo has fulfilled his promises to them, and he is convinced Dr. Bawumia will do the same.

“We made a request for a hospital to President Akufo Addo when he visited Sene West. As I speak today, the project is now 80% complete. The government has also constructed roads and provided electricity, among others.

“The Sene East District as a whole is a beneficiary of the construction of Agenda 111 hospital project, which is almost at 90% complete. It would be of immense use when it’s finally completed”, he remarked.

Nana Sunkwa said the free Senior High School (SHS) policy by the NPP has benefitted the people, adding “The district has already taken delivery of the DRIP (District Road Infrastructure project) equipment”.

The Kejeji chief also lauded the NPP government for the construction of the Atebubu-Kwame Danso Road, which hitherto was in bad condition, reiterating that he is confident that Dr. Bawumia will also deliver his promises.

Nana Sunkwa said the NPP manifesto for the December 7 election indeed promises hope and that he is optimistic that Dr. Bawumia and Dr. Opoku Prempeh, aka ‘NAPO’ will do their utmost best to deliver the juicy promises in the manifesto.

He said the NPPs' manifesto promise of creating a Women Empowerment Fund, massive tax reforms, affirmative action for women in Ghana, and electricity bill reduction by introducing Solar Power Generation are commendable.

“The NPP's assurance of using a Ghanaian ID card to assist passport acquisition, bringing import duties and taxes to lower level with some of our West African neighbours are also admirable and we hope they will deliver them”, he said.

“Your excellency, we cannot list all of the manifesto items here, we are however highly convinced that all that is contained in that manifesto will be followed to the latter when your party is given the chance to govern once again.

“We have no doubt in our minds that your party will return to power come 2024. We wish you all the best”, the Kejeji Traditional Leader, who clearly seemed impressed by the NPP government’s superb works, asserted.
