President John Dramani Mahama is expected to be in the Eastern Region for a five-day campaign tour from Monday, October 24. His tour will begin in Abetifi, where he is scheduled to meet fishermen and farmers at Sempoa.
He will also address a mini-rally at midday at the Mpraeso Lorry Park before moving to Nkawkaw to commission the Kwahu Fodoa Community Day Senior High School. A statement issued by the Eastern Regional Secretariat of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) outlined that President Mahama will end his first day with a durbar in the Abuakwa North Constituency, where Victor Smith is standing as NDC’s parliamentary candidate.
Tuesday will see President Mahama attending a mini-rally in Ofoase-Ayirebi before moving to Akwatia to commission another community day SHS. The day will end with a mini-rally at Suhum. Day Three will see the president storm the home constituency of rival Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Abuakwa South.
He will pay a courtesy call on the Okyenhene, Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin, after which a mini-rally will be called in his honour at the Kyebi Lorry Park. The president will continue to Adoagyiri-Nsawam, Akuapim North and South and then the Okere Constituency, where he will wrap up with a mini-rally at Adukrom.
The penultimate day will see the NDC leader storm the regional capital, Koforidua. The tour will end at Lower Manya Krobo on Friday, October 28.
