Volta region records over 7,900 Special Voters amidst peaceful exercise

The Special Voting exercise across the 18 Constituencies of the Volta Region has recorded a total of 7,924 Special Voters.

The exercise across the region was generally peaceful, orderly, transparent, successful, smooth and without any electoral incidents, according to Mr Eric Dzakpasu, Volta Regional Directorate of the Electoral Commission (EC).

Data shared with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) showed that the region's total number of expected voters in the special exercise was 9,030.

The voter turnout of 7,924, made up of 5,080 male and 2,844 female voters, represents 87.752 per cent.

Reports across the 18 Constituencies pointed to peaceful exercise.

The North Dayi Constituency recorded the highest voter turnout of 96 per cent, while the Anlo Constituency recorded a voter turnout of 79.63964 per cent, being the lowest.
