Stars Can Make It- Hamza

EX-NATIONAL Star, Hamza Mohamed has expressed optimism about the chances of the senior national team, the Black Stars, in the 26th MTN African Cup of Nations, saying they will win the tournament.
Not even the absence of Black Stars skipper, Stephen Appiah who is out of the tournament due to injury, could daunt Hamza?s hopes. ?Ghana can lift the Africa trophy with or without Appiah,? he stressed.
Speaking exclusively to DAILY GUIDE SPORTS, Hamza who described Appiah as an inspirational leader stated that there was light at the end of the tunnel, contending the African trophy was in the country to stay.
Hamza who now plies his trade with Romanian Premier Side, FC Slao said, ?Although Appiah?s exit is a major set-back for the Stars, we can still get equally gifted players to fill his position.?
According to him, there was no need for Ghanaians to continue crying over Appiah?s exit from the tournament since the harm has already been done, and rather encourage the rest of the team to have self-belief.
Hamza appealed to soccer loving fans in the country to fill the stadia in their numbers during the tournament and give unflinching support to the Black Stars to help them achieve their ambitions of winning Gold for the country during the tournament.
