Must the restructuring of a State owned Agency warrant layoffs. The Agency can be restructured without necessarily terminating the employments of legally employed Ghanaians.
The Management of PMMC should reconsider their decision and as a matter of urgency recall the sacked staff, retool the Company/the recalled Staff, retrain the staff if necessary to bring about the productivity Management expects from them.
This is not what Ghanaians expect from the current Government in power, the least expected of them is to create more jobs for the numerous unemployed Ghanaian citizens but not to render hitherto gainfully employed Ghanaians jobless in the name of restructuring.
