The state-owned National Insurance Corporation (NIC) has received recognition as a Superbrand in East Africa, lauding its commendable performance within the insurance sector.

This accolade materializes following a consumer survey conducted across East African countries, evaluating diverse criteria including reliability and quality.

Speaking yesterday to journalists after receiving the certificate Dr Elirehema Doriye, NIC’s Director General, expressed his appreciation for the regional recognition bestowed upon the insurance firm.

“This recognition is a testament to our unwavering commitment to excellence and the high standards we uphold in providing top-quality insurance products and services to the people of Tanzania,” he stated.

Dr Doriye emphasized that the recognition encapsulates the collective efforts, dedication, and hard work of the entire NIC team.

“It reaffirms our mission to be at the forefront of the insurance industry, setting the benchmark for reliability, integrity, and customer satisfaction,” he further noted.

Headed; “NIC’s journey has been one of continuous growth, innovation, and community service. Over the years, we have strived to cater to the diverse needs of our customers, offering a comprehensive range of insurance solutions that protect their lives, assets, and businesses.”

Mr. Jawad Jaffer, the Superbrands project director and associate publisher, highlighted the significance of this status, saying, “A Superbrand offers consumers significant emotional and/or physical advantages over its competitors that consumers want, recognise, and are willing to pay a premium for.”

He stressed the importance of maintaining this status. “Receiving Superbrand status is one thing, and maintaining it is another,” he said.

“I take this moment to remind all companies that have received this status today to work around the clock to ensure that they maintain it,” he added.
