Ghana Cricket team lines up friendlies against 6 Indian clubs

The national cricket team has stepped up preparations for the ICC World Test Series in March this year after lining up friendlies against six Ghana-based Indian cricket clubs.

The team will commence the warm-up matches with the Indian clubs at the Achimota Cricket Oval on Sunday.

“We need these matches to prepare for the tournament in South Africa. These Indian teams are good enough to test our players and prepare us for the best teams at the World Series,” coach of the Ghana Cricket team, Rajenda Prasad Sharma, told Starr Sports.

The decision to play the locally-based opponents is due to the cancellation of an earlier proposed invitational tournament in Nigeria.
