The Senior National Cricket team, will compete in the International Cricket Council (ICC) Africa T20 Division 1 and World Cricket League (WCL) Division Six play-off in South Africa.
The competition fixed between, March 26-3 April, will have Ghana competing with Namibia, Kenyan, Uganda and Tanzania in Division One as well Bostwana in a one game play-off in the WCL ODI play-off.
A statement signed by Francis Asare General Secretary of the Ghana Cricket Association (GCA), said the Division One as structured by the International Cricket Council is a qualification path to the ICC World Cup in 2019, whilst a win in the play-off against Botswana sets Ghana to compete in the WCL Division 6 proper in Essex, United Kingdom in September.
According to the statement, Ghana, to be represented by 14 players, with two officials are left Accra on Wednesday, March 18, for South Africa.
It said the competition forms part of efforts to put the team in a good shape for other major events.
