Black Eagles to face Togo, Niger, Burkina

at Africa Rugby Cup*

Ghana’s opponents at next month’s Confederation of African Rugby (CAR) North Division 2 African Cup in Niger have been confirmed as the host nation, Niger and two neighbours, Burkina Faso and Togo.

The Black Eagles impressed at last year’s tournament in Togo and have vowed to do even better at the 2013 edition.

Currently preparing towards the one week championship, the Black Eagles are expected to depart Accra for Niger at the end of the month to meet the Sunday June 2 arrival date for all 6 participating West African countries.

Ghana open the campaign on Monday June 3 against Togo in the second match after hosts Niger kick the tournament off against Benin. Burkina Faso versus Mali completes the Match Day 1 line-up.

Match Day 2 is Thursday June 6, 2013 when the Black Eagles face the host nation with Mali versus Togo and Burkina Faso versus Benin the other fixtures.

The Black Eagles end against Burkina Faso on Monday June 10 along with other Match Day 3 ties between Niger and Mali as well as Togo versus Benin.

Ghana, like all guest teams at the CAR North Division 2 Africa championship, depart for home on Tuesday June 11, 2013.
