The New Patriotic Party-USA (NPP-USA) marked a significant milestone with the inauguration of its Washington Seattle Chapter.

This launch signals a profound commitment among Ghanaians in the diaspora to actively engage in politics and contribute to the governance of their homeland.

The event was graced by distinguished figures from the NPP-USA, including Olivia Owusua, the inaugural chair of the Seattle Chapter, held at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Seattle, who delivered a compelling message of unity and progress.

“As we embark on this journey, let us remember that the NPP is not just a political platform but a family united by our vision for a prosperous Ghana,” Owusua articulated, outlining the chapter’s agenda focused on ‘Development in Freedom’.

Mrs Obaa Yaa Frimpong, the NPP-USA Branch executive, emphasized the importance of adhering to constitutional principles and seeking guidance in governance.

“Always be guided by our constitution and by-laws, and you’ll never stray from the right path,” she advised, underscoring the commitment to democratic values.

Mr. Augustine Agbenaza, the General Secretary of NPP-USA, echoed the sentiment, stressing the significance of internalizing the organization’s governing documents in decision-making processes.

James Owusu, serving as the first vice-chair, highlighted the sacrifices required for political causes, emphasizing loyalty and commitment as essential virtues in navigating the political landscape.

The event also saw the participation of prominent NPP-USA branch executives and chapter chairs, demonstrating collective support for the Seattle Chapter’s goals and aspirations.

The Washington Seattle Chapter executive committee comprises a blend of seasoned and emerging leaders committed to advancing the party’s agenda. With a vibrant youth wing and a focus on inclusivity, the chapter is poised to make a meaningful impact in Ghanaian politics.

As the evening concluded, attendees left inspired and motivated, with a clear vision of their role in supporting the mother party led by Presidential Candidate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in breaking the eight-year cycle.
