Textile Of Unity: Ghanaian Kente, Handwoven Textile Exhibition

FAYETTEVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA



Umoja Group, Inc. is inviting all Ghanaians around the states to Fayetteville North Carolina to come view its Kente exhibition project titled: Textile of Unity: Ghanaian Kente. The kente exhibition which is open to the public for free brings a collection of old and contemporary Ghanaian kente cloths from Ashanti, Ewe and the North, traditional loom and a master weaver Thompson Yao Avornyotse from Ghana to demonstrate this 12 century art form for the benefit of the community.



The kente project director Isabella Effon who originally comes from Ghana and lives in Fayetteville says this is one opportunity for Ghanaians to take pride and showcase their cultural heritage. Share this information with your friends in the neighborhood.
