Celebrity relationships have a way of exciting fans. These loyal fans look forward to knowing who is dating their favorite celebrities. So when these celebrities start sharing loved up images on their social media pages, then, that is definitely the confirmation of their relationship status.

Over the years, there have been some very shocking celebrity break-ups that have left fans and many followers of these celebrities wondering if celebrity relationships work at all, amidst tight schedules.

One sure way of telling if a celebrity relationship is over aside the rumour is when they start taking down the loved up pictures.

Asamoah and Gifty Gyan

Legendary Ghanaian footballer and former captain of the Black Stars, Asamoah Gyan asked for the annulment of his marriage to wife and mother of his children, Gifty Gyan, over allegations of infidelity on the wife’s part. Asamoah Gyan doubted the paternity of his children, making him want a total annulment. A DNA test, however, proved that the children were all his, but his marriage has come to an end.

Juliet Ibrahim and Iceberg Slim

After kissing on live television and flaunting their relationship on social media, actress Juliet Ibrahim and musician Iceberg Slim called it quits in 2018. Iceberg later made a public apology to Juliet confessing that he cheated on her several times and took her love for granted, an apology that Juliet Ibrahim accepted but also made it clear that ‘her ship has sailed’



Medikal and Sister Derby

Medikal in an interview claimed that he would settle down definitely with Deborah Vanessa, aka Sister Derby after their relationship was made public, but as they say, man proposes but God disposes of. Sister Derby broke up with Medikal over allegations of cheating, Sister Derby was alleged to have accused Medikal of cheating on her with Fella Makafui, an accusation that he denied vehemently, claiming in many interviews that he and Fella were just friends. Medikal and Fella have been dating since that time. Sister Derby went ahead to release a diss song 'Kakalika', which she denies is a diss song to Medikal and his lover Fella Makafui.



Yvonne Nelson and Jamie Roberts

Yvonne Nelson confirmed in an interview that she had broken up with her daughter's father Jamie after the two flaunted their relationship on social media much to the delight of her fans. The two have a daughter together, Ryn, but Yvonne is very single now and looking for a cute guy to date.

Chris Attoh Damilola Adegbite

Chris and Damilola met and fell in love on the set of Tinsel. The two got married but after about two years the marriage came to an end. It is unclear what caused the break-up, but Chris went on to marry another woman, who was recently shot dead at the premises of her office in the USA.



Shatta Wale and Michy

Shatta Wale and Michys break up became a hot topic in the media after Michy accused Shatta Wale of abuse. She wrote in her instastories that “… no one wants to be in an abusive, draining relationship”. In another post she added that “you have no idea how it’s like dealing with someone who’s always looking for faults on you, they don’t trust cuz they can’t be trusted, insecure, the ego, false accusations, battery, threats, no compassion as I don’t show him all the compassion”. The two were engaged and had a son, Majesty.



Elikem Kumodzie and Pokello Nare

After proposing marriage to her on a VGMA stage in 2014, Big Brother, The Chase lovebirds Elikem Kumordzie, and his Zimbabwean wife Pokello Nare divorced in 2018 due to irreparable differences, as stated in his petition for divorce.



Efia Odo and Reveloe Efia has moved on from the bitter break up with ex-boyfriend Reveloe. But before she did move on, she went on a twitter rant and called Reveloe a demon for leading her and her whole family on.



Afia Schwarzenegger and Abrokwa

After surprisingly marrying Abrokwa in a secret wedding in South Africa and flaunting each other on social media, Ghanaians were shocked when just after a year the marriage came to an end. Abrokwa allegedly caught Afia in bed with another man and threatened to pour acid on Afia. Abrokwa moved on to date another woman known as Kazia, and even composed a song to tease Afia Schwarzenegger.
