Highlife sensation Kofi Kinaata has disclosed how he had to quit football due to financial constraints.

During an interview on Citi TV's "The Chat," he explained how the cost of football boots and other items led him to pursue a career in music instead of football.

According to him, unlike football, music didn't require a significant initial investment, as one doesn't need to own a microphone to sing.

"Money for boots was the main problem...but with music, you don't need to buy a microphone before you can sing. You just sing, then you pass it on to the owner."

Kinaata, a three-time "Songwriter of the Year" award winner at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, has yet to release a full album despite a decade in the music industry.

However, he's set to debut his EP "Kofi OO Kofi" soon, in response to fan demand and team encouragement.

Originally scheduled for April 15th, the release has been postponed to either May 3rd or 10th. Meanwhile, his latest single "Efiekuma Broken Heart" is already delighting his audience.
