Black Stars winger, Christian Atsu has revealed that Ghana’s Senior National Soccer team’s celebration dance after Asamoah Gyan scored against Mali to qualify for the next stage of the competition was inspired by Kofi Kinata’s latest hit song.

Contrary to interpretations by most Ghanaians who claim the Celebration dance depicts a man whose manhood is erected and is ready for any lady, Christian Atsu insists that is far from the truth.

Atsu explained, that dance after Asamoah Gyan headed home the opener for Ghana was influenced by Kofi Kinaata’s hit song “confession”.

“You know that song by Kofi Kinata asking God to take the steering wheel is what we are dancing to. We are also celebrating God taking the steering wheel for us” He told pulse Sports. Ghana has booked its bid to the quarter-final stage of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations after a 1-0 win over Mali on Saturday in their second Group D match.

Ghana’s next match will be against Egypt on Wednesday in the final Group D match.
