Wiyaala goes global with first international release

Upper West singer/songwriter, Noella Wiyaala will today officially release 'Make Me Dance', to the international market across digital platforms, including Itunes, Amazon, and all major distribution channels across the globe.

Originally produced by Genius Selection in Ghana, and now remixed in Los Angeles by Bill Delia for the international market, “Make Me Dance” (along with an acoustic version) will be distributed on the Djimba World Records label under exclusive license to JTV Digital.

Jeremie Varengo, CEO, of JTV Digital in Paris, France commented: “We think Wiyaala is a huge talent and are delighted to have the opportunity to have a distribution/publishing deal with an artist from West Africa. We will be working hard to help her develop a sustainable career as an artist from Ghana with international appeal.

Wiyaala said: “I am really excited at this opportunity to be able get my music career established as an ambassador of African culture. I know that I have a long way to go. It’s been hard work to get to this place and I want thank all those people who have contributed to this opportunity to showcase my talent internationally.”

“Artist’s rights are a legal minefield, but what this deal shows is that Ghanaian artists, thanks to the internet and digital channels like JTV Digital can connect with the international market with all the correct legal protections needed to protect their copyright and any income they can earn from it.”

Wiyaala is planning a five song EP for Christmas. Currently, she is performing regular live shows at Cuzzy Bros and The Lexington in Accra. More information at www.wiyaala.com
