Ghana is collapsing - Highlife Legend Amarh Pino

Ghanaian Highlife icon Amarh Pino says the economy of Ghana is collapsing is collapsing on the citizenry because things are not going on well as they ought to.

He bemoaned the high cost of living coupled with the high taxes as a result of activities of those at the helm of affairs indicating it is as a result the music industry is also suffering.

Speaking to DJ Nyaami of SVTV Africa in an interview monitored by MyNewsGh.com from his base in the UK, a member of Ozimzim Band admitted he receives royalties from his music through his family in Ghana.

“It is not only music the economy of Ghana is not good. Everything has destroyed and the system is crumbling. Take phone credit for example, here I can buy credit for 25 pounds and use to make calls and covert into data for a long time but this place was Ghana, I cannot do same”, he revealed.

According to him, things are taking a nosedive in the country and urged musicians to strategize against hard times in order to survive.

He is not the only musician to have complained of hard times in the country as controversial Dancehall King, Shatta Wale is reported to have said same last month.

According to him, Akufo-Addo has failed to improve the living condition of Ghanaians even though they voted him into power to ease their burdens.

Shatta Wale noted there is hardship in the country and it’s about we tried a new government, not NPP or NDC.
