Professor John Evans
Atta-Mills

express our utmost appreciation to the people of Ghana for the compassion they showed upon the death of our loved one, the support they offered for his funeral and burial, and the outpouring of love. The family is particularly grateful to His Excellency, President John Dramani Mahama, the Government of Ghana, Representatives of countries, the Funeral Planning Committee, State Protocol, Religious Leaders, the Ghana Armed Forces, Ghana Police Service, and all entities that contributed to the planning of the funeral of the late President and supported us in any way.

We, wholeheartedly, thank the Funeral Planning Committee for a well-organized funeral in the face of the time constraint it faced. We thank the subcommittees including the Media, Publication, Grounds, Events and Program, Hospitality, Logistics, Protocol and Security subcommittees for their services.

We are grateful to the Presidents, Vice-presidents and other representatives of countries who travelled to pay their respects to the Late President, and participated in the funeral and burial services.

We thank the Ghana Armed Forces for their awe-inspiring service to the Former Commander in Chief.

Our sincerest gratitude goes to the people of Ghana who lined up for hours to pay their respects to our loved one, those who mourned with us from all parts of the country, those who prayed with us, those who participated in the Vigil services held on August 8 and 9 at the State House and those who attended all other services held in Ghana and abroad to say farewell to our dear departed one.

To all those who donated resources, we are exceedingly grateful for your generosity. Thank you once again, people of Ghana, for your solace and support. May the Almighty God richly bless you all.
