Christians advised to be wary of false prophets

Busunya (B/A) Jan. 6,GNA - A five-day annual convention of the Nkoranza-Atebubu Anglican Archdeaconries has ended at Busunya with a call on Christians to be wary of self-acclaimed prophets and prophetesses who could lead them into destruction. The convention, attended by more than 600 members was under the theme: "Christ is the Saviour".

Reverend Canon Robert Barnabas Num in-charge of Busunya Anglican Church who made the call, urged Christians to keep their faith in God and eschew all forms of earthly pleasures and wealth that could lead them to condemnation. He explained that the convention was an annual event aimed at bringing members together to enable them to share experiences and improve on their shortfalls.

Mr. Kodwo A. Intsuah, President of the evangelism committee of the church, advised the congregation to take the activities lined up at the convention seriously to improve their spiritual growth. He commended the members for their attendance and called on the youth in the church to allow the teachings of Jesus Christ to reflect in their social lives. Venerable Dominic Ohene Apraku, a member of Atebubu Anglican Church advised members to live by the teachings of the Anglican doctrine and lead lives worthy of emulation in all endeavours. 06 Jan.10
