Sowing Seed

Who made this arrangement that over there that most of the rich people are politicians and the pastors of the Mega-Churches?

If all the “seeds that are sown” in the various “Pray For Me Churches” were used to set up businesses do you think that Auntie Esi and Maame Edufua will leave their almost-empty kiosks, ask the next door ladies to watch out for them as they rush to the Afternoon Praise and Prayer time?

One day, Auntie Esi went to Bishop Adu and complained-

Auntie Esi: Bishop, m’esow seed aaa, I don’t see any of the promises that you say that will come to me. Last Wednesday, when I went back, not only did my best customer missed me, someone stole some things from my Store.

Bishop: Sister, your faith is being tried. You also may not be sowing enough seeds. You know what the scripture says: 2Cor 9:6-7 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

Who made this arrangement that over there, only politicians and pastors are the ones making it big? We have lots of brothers and sisters who are living in a survival mode, desperate to provide even a single meal in a day for their children, and yet they have been ‘sowing seed’ aaa, and they do not see any bumper crop. (What did Jesus say about that?)

Inquiring mind wants to know why is it that Bishop Adu drives a Mercedes Benz, lives in a big house, his family is well care for and yet he will not even stop to give any of his congregants a ride to Church? The picture does not look good. I wonder what car Jesus would buy if He was here today?

By the way, Jesus said: Then a scribe came and said to Him, "Teacher, I will follow You wherever You go." 20Jesus said to him, "The foxes have holes and the birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head." (Mt 8:19-20)

Are people sowing the wrong seed? What kind of prosperity did Jesus promise?
