E.P Church to double membership in six years

The Rev Dr. Seth Senyo Agidi, Moderator-elect of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, has said his primary focus was to double the membership of the Church in six years.

He said consequently, the Church would embark on vigorous evangelism outreaches to reach the unreached with the word of God.

Rev Dr. Agidi stated this at a reception held in his honour by the Rotary Club of Ho after his election by the General Assembly of the Church.

He said the days when the Church sat down for people to come was gone and that the E.P. Church would “run after every soul for God’s Kingdom.”

Rev Dr. Agidi said his leadership would also be directed towards development projects of the Church with the introduction of social activities to ensure a “balance between the soul and the body”.

Mr Rockson Kwasi Dogbega, President of Ho Rotary Club, commended Rev Dr Agidi on his election and said the Club was elated that its member was elevated to that “high position of service.”

“Rotary is service above self and we are very happy one of our own is elected to this high position,” he said.

Mr Dogbega said though Rotary was not about religion, the Club would support Rev Dr. Agidi to ensure that his six-year tenure is successful.
