World Cup: England fires Ghana warning with emphatic friendly win over Costa Rica
Ghana's group opponents, England, rounded up preparations ahead of the World Cup with a convincing victory over Costa Rica on Wednesday evening.
The Three Lions strolled to victory with strikes from Declan Rice, Anthony Gordon, and Ollie Watkins.
The 1966 winners got off to a blistering start after the Arsenal midfielder fired home following a brilliant cut-back from new Barcelona forward Gordon.
Gordon went from provider to scorer in the second half after converting from the spot, before Watkins rebounded from a Morgan Rogers strike.
The victory gives England a massive boost after an unconvincing performance against New Zealand last week.
