Aphrodisiac opened 23rd December, 2004 and has been one of Accra's most exclusive night clubs ever since. Some of its most famous guests include Stevie Wonder, Jay Z, Beenie Man, Akon and a host of others. The Konfidence Haugen boutique can also be found on the premises.

Rhapsody's:

Rhapsody's a South African franchise of restaurant-bars. Rhapsody in Accra is located at the Accra Mall, Tetteh Quarshie Interchange. The cavernous venue is open every day for lunch and dinner and doubles as a bar and nightclub at the weekend.

Citizen Kofi:

There are two bars in the Citizen Kofi building, including the rooftop Sky Bar and the Accra Bar, a lounge-style bar. There is also a nightclub and the venue is available for function hire.

A huge, green building at the beginning of Lagos Avenue in East Legon, Krystis is the home of Club Invasion which opened last year. The entertainment complex includes a bar, nightclub, restaurant and pool tables.

His Majesty's Nightclub & Casino

The nighclub is frequented by a young, affluent Ghanaian crowd. The casino offers roulette, black jack, poker, free entrance. Membership for night club available for a fee.Saturday caters for a slightly more mature crowd with funk and Old Skool. Also doubles as a hotel, so you can book a room if you are too tired to go back home

Glenns: Located in Adabraka at the tail end of Farrar Avenue, Glenns is one off those places that packs a good mix of everything that represents Accra. Best on Sunday and Wednesday where you will find a nice mixed crowd jamming to the best of R&B, hip hop and hip life. Thursday is also popular with the Francophone crowd.

Located at Osu's seedy Danquah Circle, Macumba is an Accra institution, popular with regular disco-goers and European visitors. Cover charge higher Friday to Sunday, less on Wednesdays. Thursday night is ladies’ night. No food.

The Lexington: This chic bar and restaurant in the Paloma Hotel complex serves a sophisticated menu and pricey but delicious cocktails. It replaces the old Champs Sports Bar.

Shaka Zulu: Located between Accra Girls and Dzorwulu Junction, Shaka Zulu is an afrochic bar, club and restaurant. It's open every day from 10am until late.

 

Jokers: Located on the Labadi Road, opposite the La General Clinic, Jokers has gone through several facelifts over the years but the crowd stays the same. Owned by a group of Lebanese brothers, Jokers has a nightclub and bar, pool tables and an outdoor restaurant selling Lebanese and continental food.

 

Duplex Nightclub: Located on the street behind Lizzie's in Osu (take second right after Frankie's if coming from Danquah Circle then take first left), Duplex recently moved from its old spot behind Papaye and is bigger, louder and better than before. Big dancefloor, always packed, attracts a mixed crowd.

 

Kiravi Nightclub: Located at Harper Road, south of Kumasi, the classy Kiravi nightclub near Chopsticks has been running for many years. It's main night is on Saturday.

 

Hollywood Boulevard: This chic new addition to the A&C Shopping Mall in East Legon is a restaurant, bar and and club. Dress sharp and make sure your pockets are full of cedis

 

EXEL Lounge: Opened in 2008, EXEL continues to attract a chic, affluent crowd. Open until 6am on the weekends, you can party until dawn with Accra's movers and shakers.

Chester's Savannah Bar: Chester's in Nyaniba Estates offers a relaxed environment, a friendly crowd and dancing as the night goes on.

 

Bus Stop: Located off the Ring Road in Accra, near Kwame Nkrumah Circle, Bus Stop is a sports bar, restaurant and nightclub. Sip a cold beer on the terrace and watch the traffic go by.

Vienna City: Ocean Bar and Vienna City Hotel in Tema, Vienna City Accra and Kumasi and Ocean Bar in Takoradi are all owned by the Vienna City group and offer the same brand of drinks, food, entertainment and dancing.

 

Paddy's Nightclub: Located at Botwe, in the East Legon neighbourhood. It has a large complex that serves various classes of people. It has a main hall, a VIP room and a private room (Zero Room). Check out the dancehall/Jamrock nite on Thursday, ladies' nite on Friday and open house on Saturday. Local artists pass through every now and then to perform.

Boomerang Night Club: Situated in the Caprice building in Kpehe not far from Kwame Nkrumah Circle. Packs a good crowd on Fridays and Saturdays with a good mix of Accra's affluent youth. Music style is a mix of R&B & Hip life for Friday and Saturday and Francophone mix on Thursday.
