The Eastern Regional Volleyball Association has presented a citation to Mr Daniel Kenneth, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Okere, for his immense contribution to the development of the sport in the region.
Mr Kenneth, a former national volleyball player has for the past years been the Chairman of the Eastern Regional Volleyball Association until his appointment as DCE.
Mr. Kenneth however, he still chairs the Association, despite his appointment.
The citation was presented to him at the venue of the week five fixtures in the ongoing Akro-Ako Eastern Regional Volleyball league at Adukrom.
It read, “the Executives and the entire volleyball fraternity in the Eastern Region wish to congratulate you on your position as the Hon. District Chief Executive of Okere.
“The association recognizes your profound contributions towards development, promotion and organization of volleyball in the region, since you became our chairman.
Your appointment is definitely a reward for your hard work in the association and the community.
The leadership of Mr Kenneth has brought a lot of vibrancy into the development of the game in the region through the organization of league competitions, gala competitions and hosting of major volleyball competitions just to whip the interest of volleyball in the region and nurture new talents of which the region has an enviable record.
