Member of Parliament (MP) for Tamale North Constituency, Alhaji Sayibu Alhassan Suhuyini has called out the widow of the late Emmanuel Kyerematen Agyarko for exploiting their kids in the name of politics, MyNewsGh.com has filed.

The NDC MP is praying the soul of the late MP not to strike those responsible for placing the kids at the forefront of her campaign to replace their father.

He said whereas some people have described the call for justice for the murdered journalist Ahmed Suale as ‘politics’, they see nothing unethical or wrong with parading “innocent children” in the name of politics.

“So those of you who believe calling for justice for Ahmed-Suale is playing politics, don’t see the unethical politicking with innocent children ?? What the heck is wrong here? May the soul of Hon Agyarko not strike those exploiting his kids too hard.” He wrote.

“Please God never let my children have to endure this” he added.

Madam Lydia Alhassan widow of late Emmanuel Boakye Agyarko won the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency primary of the ruling New Patriotic Party. She beat Madam Victoria Esinam Ansah Offei; Madam Yaa Aboagye; Mr. Samuel Amankwah and Mr. Ato Williams.

The seat became vacant following the passing of her husband Mr. Emmanuel Kyeremanteng Agyarko, the Member of Parliament for the area, on Wednesday, November 21 last year.

The NPP has held the seat since 2000, with Mr. Agyarko succeeding Madam Akosua Frema Osei-Opare, the current Chief of Staff in January 2013.

Meanwhile, the NDC side elected Mr. Delali Kwasi Brempong in their election. The election promises to be interesting, but many pundits say Maa Lydia will win without too many hurdles.
