Chief Scribe of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has accused the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) of deviating from its purported Christian beliefs and is now charting a new path.

He indicates that the party in the run up to the 2000 election and afterwards, portrayed itself as one of the Christian parties and manifested that with billboards with the inscription “The battle is the Lords”.

Mr Asiedu Nektia said same cannot be said about the party which has now gained notoriety in raining curses and engaging in various forms of demonic acts making mockery of its attempts to appear angelic and highly religious before Ghanaians.

“This is the NPP that now invokes curses and slaughter animals yet are asking Ghanaians to believe in them because they are Christians. Is this the Christian NPP”, he asked.

On the Ultimate Breakfast Show hosted by Lantam Papanko, he wondered why the NPP at its rally will be hypocritical trying to resuscitate its dead biblical beliefs in the wake of some leading members going on cursing spree with the backing of some executives.

He is optimistic the NPP will lose the elections stating that no amount of rallies and messages can change the minds of Ghanaians who are ready to mandate the Mahama led administration for a second term.
