The Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo, says Ghana under his presidency will witness a review of the Single Spine Salary Structure.
The move, he noted, will ensure that all challenges confronting the pay policy are addressed in a manner where there will be no more chaos over the structure as is being experienced by the Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG) and others.
CLOGSAG has been battling the government over their tie two pensions funds which has been in arrears since 2010 and possible investments that are available to them.
The opposition leader in a meeting with CLOGSAG, Wednesday, promised that his government will take concrete steps to settle their pension funds if the current administration fails to meet the November 15 deadline set out by the Labour Court.
CLOGSAG, according to Akufo-Addo, is the back bone of the Executive and their concerns must be treated with all the urgency it deserves.
