The Peoples’ National Convention (PNC) joins all Ghanaians at home and abroad to mourn the passing of the member of Parliament of Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency, Emmanuel Kyeremateng Agyarko.
In a statement issued by the national organiser of the party, Desmond Ntow, the implore the entire family and the NPP party to remain steadfast and hopeful.
"The party conveys its deepest affection to the wife, NPP party and the entire family at this great loss of a husband, father and loved elderly statesman in their family. The PNC assures the family that, in this moment of their grief, the prayers of the party are with them as this tragedy afflicts us all as a country," the statement reads on.
Background
Hon. Kyeremateng Agyarko died on Wednesday, November 21, 2018, at a hospital in the United States after a protracted ailment.
The NPP Legislator had gone to the United States to seek medical care after an undisclosed medical condition he begun dealing with at the Ridge Hospital in Accra.
Mr Agarko who was married with seven children has been the MP for the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency since 2012 after he replaced the current Chief of Staff, Frema Opare as MP for the area.
His sudden demise has come to many as a surprise.
Following his death, President Akufo-Addo and several other NPP members, as well as other dignitaries, have visited the family to commiserate with them.
Tributes have also been flowing in honour of the deceased MP.
