Voters should use their thumbs to remove from power the government of President John Mahama on December 7 in order to do away with the “suffering” imposed on them by the current administration, opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) flag bearer Nana Akufo-Addo has urged.
Addressing party supporters at Asiwa in the Bosome Freho constituency of the Ashanti Region – where he embarked on a four-day tour – the opposition leader said the “litany of hardships” unleashed on Ghanaians should be enough motivation to vote out the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2016 elections.
“God has been grateful to us and the laws of the country tell us that we can use our thumbs this year to erase the hardships we face. The lack of money in the system can all be changed by the power of our thumbs. But most importantly we can unseat Mahama and his government and usher in a government of Nana Akufo Addo and the NPP to put the country unto the right track,” he noted.
