The Campaign Coordinator of the governing National Democratic Congress(NDC) for the 2016 elections, Kofi Adams says the NDC is not trembled by Nana Adddo’s warm reception received from some Volta regional Chiefs recently.
“All of the chiefs who have spoken so far in the region as part of Akufo-Addo’s campaign in the area, I personally know some of them to be NPP members. They’ve been voting for the NPP every election and we are not worried about the development,” Kofi Adams said.
Nana Akomea has said the large crowds at Nana Akufo-Addo’s rallies in the NDC’s stronghold-Volta region should be a frightening news for the NDC in the lead up to the December 7, elections.
“Recently they pelted us with stones when we went there, and now if reporters are saying that there is no significant difference between the partisan crowds of Nana Addo and President John Dramani Mahama in the Volta region which is supposed to be the NDC government’s stronghold, then I’ll say it is the most profound political report I have heard so far in my entire life.”
But Kofi Adams has dismissed such claims insisting that the NDC is not shaken by what has been touted as the tumultuous welcome and the euphoria that greeted Nana Addo’s visit to the NDC’s stronghold.
“In any case the supposed crowd of Nana Addo, I’ve personally seen it and those are not numbers. I’m sure if I take a tour in either Eastern or Ashanti region, I an get more crowds than what Nana Addo had in the Volta region.
“He should be worried that his votes are critically dropping after each elections he’s contested”
