The Executive Chairman of Berekum Chelsea, Obed Nana Kwame Nketiah, has shared a chaotic encounter he had with a police officer during the Kotoko and Berekum Chelsea match on Sunday, September 29, 2024.

According to his narration, during the first half of the game, he wanted to access the dressing room to engage the players and club officials. However, he was denied entry by the police officer on duty.

He disclosed that the denial led to a brief scuffle in his attempt to get past them, which led to the involvement of other officers present.

Kwame Nketiah indicated that after the issue was resolved, one of the police officers accused him of biting his finger, which he does not recall doing.

“The policeman stopped me from entering the dressing room during the first half. In an attempt to get away from the scuffle, one policeman alleges I bit his finger, but I don’t remember biting him,” he narrated, as shared by Oyerepa FM/TV on X.

The Berekum Chelsea executive chairman noted that the Kotoko team is no longer a force to reckon with despite the good players they have at their disposal.

“Kumasi Asante Kotoko has players, but they don’t have a team,” he added.

Meanwhile, the match between Kotoko and Berekum Chelsea ended in a one-all draw.
