Former National Democratic Congress (NDC) stalwart, Samuel Koku Anyidoho expressed optimism about Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s prospects in the upcoming presidential election on December 7.

Drawing parallels between Bawumia’s situation and that of former President John Mahama, Anyidoho highlighted the potential for Bawumia to carve out his own path, despite the challenges he may face.

“If John Mahama took over from President Atta-Mills and vigorously pursued his own vision (albeit to his massive loss in 2016), it is also possible for Veep Bawumia to pursue a positive vision of Possible Possibilities. Ghana First,” Anyidoho stated, suggesting that Bawumia could establish his own identity and leadership style similar to Mahama’s experience.

Reflecting on Mahama’s journey, Anyidoho recalled how Mahama ascended to the presidency following the untimely passing of John Evans Mills.

Initially stepping into the role during a difficult time, Mahama managed to shift the narrative and take charge of the country’s affairs. Anyidoho emphasized that this transformation allowed Mahama to define his leadership and ultimately shape the trajectory of his political career.

“The key is for Bawumia to seize this moment and present a clear vision that resonates with Ghanaians,” Anyidoho urged.

He believes that by focusing on a progressive agenda—dubbed “Possible Possibilities”—Bawumia can inspire hope and confidence among voters.
