Musician Grace Ashy has disclosed that she has decided to step down in her bid to contest the Anyaa Sowutuom seat.
According to her, the leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has met with her and talked her out of her decision to contest.
“They came to see me to withdraw, so I’ve withdrawn from contesting as an independent parliamentary candidate,” she said while ministering in church.
Grace Ashy indicated that regardless of her decision, she supports Alan Kyerematen to become president.
“Regardless of the decision to withdraw from contesting, I’m still independent. Let’s support Alan Kyerematen in becoming president,” she said.
