Ghanaian actor, Kwaku Manu, expressed his frustration over the government's inability to improve the lives of citizens despite Ghana's wealth of natural resources.

He emphasized that the country's resources, including gold, diamonds, oil, and others, should be adequate for the government to effectively manage and enhance the economy for the benefit of its citizens.

The actor raised concerns about the high unemployment rate, which has left many graduates unemployed and struggling to make ends meet.

Kwaku Manu also criticized the low salaries paid to some government workers, highlighting the negative impact on their lives.

"Ghana may be small, but we are rich in resources. I remember the Obuasi mines and other mining operations from my youth. We have gold, timber, diamonds, and oil. Despite our size and wealth, we fail to govern properly and always resort to loans.

"There are educated individuals still suffering. Government employees earning GH¢1,000 - how can they support two children? We need to face the truth..." he expressed in Twi during an interview with Zionfelix.

The decision of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo's administration to seek financial assistance from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has faced severe backlash.

Critics have also pointed out the president's previous stance against IMF loans during his campaign, contrasting it with his subsequent decision to seek such aid after assuming power.

Kwaku Manu's remarks were also driven by the dire state of the Ghanaian economy.
