The Agogo Traditional Area's Paramount Chief, Nana Kwame Akuoko Sarpong, has backed the Bawumia-Opoku-Prempeh ticket and bestowed upon them his blessings for victory in the general elections of 2024.
He highlighted his longstanding friendship with Dr. Opoku Prempeh, also known as NAPO, the running mate of the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The Omanhene declared that he and his people were in favour of the pair, a report by citinewsroom.com said.
In addition, the chief vowed to support NAPO and the NPP and urged them to pursue any infrastructure development in the region that they deemed appropriate.
The veteran lawyer and traditional ruler made these statements on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, during a courtesy call by NAPO to the chief's palace as a part of his campaign trip to the Asante Akyem North constituency.
“This palace belongs to you as well; thanks for honouring us; you are not new to us; you are my nephew. We are one people, the town belongs to you and me, and we’re managing the town together.
“On behalf of my people, I give you my support to undertake any infrastructural developments deemed fit for our town. I give you my blessings, I pray to God to help you in your endeavour.”
