The Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has said that the government’s digitalisation drive has established a foundation for Ghanaian youth to fairly compete with their peers globally.
According to him, the issuance of the Ghana Card, the implementation of the National Digital Property Address System, Mobile Money interoperability, and the planned rollout of the credit scoring system have paved the way for the creation and sustainability of businesses for the youth.
Dr Bawumia made this known on his Facebook page on August 12, 2024, while highlighting some of the innovative policies implemented under the current administration.
He asserted that the government is committed to achieving more across all sectors of the economy.
“This NPP government has laid the foundation for the creation and sustenance of businesses, jobs and other opportunities for Ghanaian youth in the Fourth Industrial Revolution, which is anchored on Digitalization.
“With the mass issuance of the Ghana Card, implementation of the National Digital Property Address System, greater financial inclusion through Mobile Money Interoperability and the upcoming roll out of a Credit Scoring system, all is set for Ghanaian youth to compete favourably with their peers across the globe,” he posted.
Additionally, Dr Bawumia has hinted that the government will focus on land and chieftaincy administration in 2025.
“In spite of these strides, Government is committed to doing even more, and from 2025 other key areas such as land and Chieftaincy administrations will also receive major attention,” he posted on his official Facebook page.
