Information gathered by Class 91.3FM reveals that about 60 students of the Archbishop Porter Girls Senior High School (SHS) in the Western Region have been hospitalised at the Holy Child Hospital, Fijai, following a case of suspected food poisoning.

According to sources, the students were conveyed in their school bus in the evening of Thursday, 28 March 2019.

Students who suffered from the suspected poisoning were also sent to the health facility on Friday morning.

Medical Superintendent for the hospital, Dr Sylvester Fameye told Class FM’s Nana Yaw Kumi that the situation has overwhelmed the facility and that logistics are being mobilised to move into the school to attend to more affected students.
