Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference delegation in Ghana

Accra, Feb. 13, GNA- A 12- member delegation of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) on Sunday visited Ghana to deepen bilateral relations.

CPPCC is a political consultative conference of the patriotic United Front of the Chinese people and an important organ for the development of multi-party co-operation and political consultation founded shortly before the birth of New China.

Mr Li Zhao Zhou, Vice Chairman of CPPCC and leader of the delegation was met on arrival at the Kotoka International Airport by the First Deputy Speaker of Ghana's Parliament, Mr Edward Doe Adjaho. Mr Li said the delegation was delighted to be in the country to strengthen friendship between Ghana and China.

Mr Doe Adjaho also expressed joy about the visit, which he said would consolidate relations between the two countries. The delegation will stay in Ghana for three days and call on the Speaker Mrs Joyce Bamford- Addo on Tuesday, February 15 and visit historica= l edifices in the country.
