Ghana will definitely not be part of African countries with high population rates come 2050.
This is according to a report by the United Nations (UN) report which shows that Nigeria will be the leading African economy to have one of the explosive population rates in the world.
The report indicates that the economy of Nigeria will expand by over 300 million thus passing America as one of the world’s most populated countries.
According to the report, global population rates will increase from the current 7 billion to a gaping 9.8 billion by the end of 2050 – a development which will see Africa lead in the numbers.
The news comes as a positive one to Ghana considering the stark challenges facing Ghana regarding the increased rate of population rate over the past ten years and also the minimal availability of resources.
