GFA President, Kwesi Nyantakyi hints the outcome will be known today GFA President, Kwesi Nyantakyi hints the outcome will be known today

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) will name the new coach of the Black Stars on Tuesday following a meeting of the body's highest decision making body.

The Executive Committee will name the replacement for Avram Grant who left the post in the wake of their disastrous showing at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.

The body will meet on Tuesday morning to consider the report of the six-man committee tasked with selecting the coach for the senior national team.

The committee headed by the GFA president Kwesi Appiah whittled down the number of coaches interested from over hundred to three.

Frenchman Willy Sagnol, Cameroon boss Hugo Broos and Kwesi Appiah were interviewed and Nyantakyi hints the outcome will be known today.

"The Executive Committee will meet tomorrow to consider the report of the search committee for a new Black Stars coach," Nyantakyi said on Monday night.

"The outcome of the meeting will be known tomorrow."

The Black Stars have been without a coach since former Chelsea coach Grant ended his stay after the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.

A fourth place finish at the tournament in Gabon and an unimpressive start in the World Cup qualifiers looks to have sealed the fate of Grant.

Ghana are seeking a new coach to start the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations and also help in the tottering 2018 World Cup qualifying campaign.
