Black Stars coach, Kwasi Appiah says he is looking at building a national team that can stay strong for a good time to come.
The 57-year-old was unveiled by the Ghana Football Association on Tuesday.
Speaking to the press, the former defender said: “I want to make sure Ghana has a team for not just to today but two three years from now .”
“…If we don’t build today, we will never have a good team in the future,” he added.
Ghana FA Veep, George Afriyie also outlined four expectations from Appiah and his team. He has been tasked to “build a formidable side”, “qualify the Black Stars to the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations” in Cameroon and “win it.”
Kwasi Appiah has also been implored to “employ his best to ensure Ghana qualifies for the 2018 World Cup.”
Appiah has a two-year contract on his return as Black Stars coach with an option to renew for same but must prove he is worth it, the Ghana FA chief also stated.
The new technical team for the Black Stars was also announced. They include:
