Black Stars returnee Coach Kwesi Appiah has reiterated vision to create a long lasting team for the Black Stars under his supervision.

Kwesi Appiah was officially unveiled on Wednesday at the Ghana Football Association [GFA] headquarters after fifteen days he resumed office.

The GFA also took the opportunity to unveil the new technical staff of the Black Stars.

Former Black Stars captain Stephen Appiah was appointed as the Team’s Manager, whilst erstwhile Goalkeeper of the Black Stars Richard ‘Olele’ Kingson was appointed as the Goalkeepers trainer, whilst the assistant coaches are made of Ibrahim Tanko and Maxwell Konadu.

The former Black Stars player and now coach Kwesi Appiah thanked the whole Nation for giving him the second opportunity to lead the Senior National team and expressed his optimism to create a long lasting squad.

“During my term, I will do the best within me to make sure Ghana has gotten a team, not a team for today but a team for the next ten years and that is my ambition.”

“Even if I am here for one month or for one year I want to put something down that Kwesi started this,” he added.

Kwesi Appiah further added that “Every Ghanaian should put his support and suggestion that will make Ghana proud again behind me.”

According to Mr. Kwesi Appiah, he will do everything for the country to start winning laurels again.

Kwesi Appiah has been tasked by the GFA to qualify the Black Stars to the next AFCON in 2019 and if possible qualify the team for the World Cup in Brazil.
