Musah Adamu, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Health, Education, Livelihood, Agriculture and Climate (HELAC) Foundation, a non- governmental organization has hinted that the foundation would soon be extending the E- learning platform, launched a couple of weeks ago to schools in the area.

The programme, supported by Bax brothers, owners of Bax Metal and Luxlight with support from St. Lucas Technical College of the Netherlands, was to help upgrade the knowledge of students and teachers posted to the area in Information Communication and Technology (ICT) using software known as 'moodle', introduced by the NGO.

Speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Donkorkrom, he said it was about time such communities were considered in developmental projects from philanthropists, individuals, Non- governmental Organizations and the district assembly because they have been neglected for long.

He said it was the Foundation's priority to upgrade the knowledge of students and teachers in hard to reach areas through the use of the 'moodle', software in carrying out research.

This, he added, would help to promote quality education delivery in the area.

Mr. Adamu said his outfit would liaise with investors in the United Kingdom (UK) to supply solar panels and computers, installed with the 'moodle' platform to schools in the area to see to the success of the programme.

He indicated that a centre would also be established at a vantage point to serve most schools and inhabitants in the vicinity.

Computers with the 'moodle' software, he added would also be donated to some Basic and Junior High Schools in the communities to ensure easily accessibility by the beneficiaries.

He therefore encouraged teachers who would want to upgrade themselves in ICT to take advantage of the programme.
