Kotoko should swap Baba Yara for Adako Jachie to intimidate opposing teams

Member of the Asante Kotoko Communication Team Jerome Otchere says it will be advisable for the club to swap their home venue from the Baba Yara sports Stadium to Adako Jachie for the remainder of the league campaign following their controversial loss to Medeama in week 10 of the Ghana Premier League.

The Porcupine Warriors suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Medeama at the Tarkwa T&A Park on Wednesday through a controversial penalty call by referee Isaaka Afful, which was expertly converted by defender Paul Aidoo to equalize Ahmed Adams first half goal before Aidoo won the game for the Mauves via another penalty call at the depth.

Speaking to Asempah FM, the livid Jerome Otchere said, “If I were to be the leader of Kotoko, we’ll leave Baba Yara and play at areas like Adako Jachie where we can also intimidate and cheat our opponents because after all I don’t believe the Tarkwa Park is better than Adako Jachie.”

“I am a man of conviction, I admit my assertion is negative but if one wrong is being perpetrated and the authorities should look at it and issue statement and leave it lying idle, are they not encouraging more of such acts.”

Asante Kotoko were subject to a controversial officiating in their week 8 clash against arch-rivals Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium, where centre referee Samuel Sukah awarded the home side a late penalty to break their eight-year winless jinx.

Asante Kotoko are 3rd on the log with 18 points from 10 matches.
