Deputy General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in charge of operations, Mr Koku Anyidoho has stated that the 455-page report on circumstances that led to the party’s disgraceful defeat in 2016 remains a classified document.

“The report is under lock and key by the General himself. We have not made it public and anyone who claims to have a copy is lying. They presented to us a single copy which is with the General Secretary and under lock and key”, he revealed on Okay Fm on Tuesday.

According to him, there is the possibility a number of media houses will fabricate stories about the report but appealed to party supporters to remain calm as those reports are likely to false.

“Expect people to say they have exclusives and the likes. Expect more false stories from the report under the guise of exclusives but I will urge all party members to ignore such speculations. What we have put out is the recommendations but we have started work on it already”, he revealed.

While commending the 13-member committee for a wonderful job, he reiterated the need for members of the party to be optimistic that the NDC shall emerge victorious after the implementation of the report but said it is incumbent for them to decipher falsehood from facts.

“Some papers will churn out mischievous headlines but don’t get worried at all because no one has the report aside the General Secretary’s copy”, he concluded.
