Kwesi Appiah arrives in Ghana to take up Black Stars' job

Coach Kwesi Appiah has arrived in the country to commence his second stint with the Black Stars as manager of the National soccer team.

Dubbed the "second coming of Kwesi Appiah", the former Al Khartoum boss was met at the Kotoka International Airport by the communications director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) some members of the FA as well as some supporters who sang and hailed his name.

Addressing the press upon his arrival, Kwesi Appiah expressed excitement of returning "home" and also thanked Ghanaians for imposing in him the confidence to handle the Black Stars once more.

According to the ex-Kotoko fullback, the clarion call by Ghanaians for his return symbolizes God's plan for him to handle the Black Stars once again.

He called on all and sundry to throw their weight behind him as he seeks to win laurels for the Black Stars.

“Its always great to be back home. Every Ghanaian would love to be at home and contribute to the development of the country. I’m overwhelmed, I didn’t expect such a huge welcome. I appreciate everyone who made time to be here”.

“I always believe that the voice of the people is the voice of God. I want to thank the President of this country, the president of the Ghana Football Association and all Ghanaians for giving me the second chance to coach the national team”. "

"I will do the best I can but I can’t do it without the help of Ghanaians. So am calling on everyone to support me in my quest to achieve success for the Black Stars”.

Prior to his arrival, Kwesi Appiah went to the United Kingdom to visit his family and also interact with some players of the Blacks Stars.

Kwesi Appiah will officially begins working on May 1.
