The auditorium is heated up, morale is high, the stage is set, and contestants are fired up, ready for the battle of the century as all three schools fight their way out to win the 2019 edition of the National Science and Maths Quiz.

The much-awaited contest between the three boys’ schools in the country promises to be nothing but the best as each school fights for the bragging rights as the best.

Tempers are high at the National Theatre this morning as thousands of students, old students and sympathisers of the three schools chant and warm up for the final showdown of the competition.

Five-time winners Presbyterian Boys' Secondary School (PRESEC-Legon) are going all out to win their sixth title, three-time winners St. Peter’s Senior High School (PERSCO) will also give their all to defend the title they won last year whilst one-time winner St. Augustine's College (AUGUSCO) will fight to win the trophy this year to add to their collection after they won in 2007.

Three people to watch out for in this competition are Newton of AUGUSCO, Nathanial of PRESEC and Fenny of PERSCO.

But Newton has won himself some admiration by all as he’s known as the GOAT of Round 4 and 5 providing no wrong answers to all questions asked. The other schools are rooting out for him and ever prepared to face the GOAT of Round 4 and 5.

Can the defending champions, PERSCO defend their title? Will AUGUSCO win their second trophy with the help of their saviour Newton? Or will PRESEC take home their sixth win?
