Liberty Professionals striker Bernard Arthur has dedicated his goal in the 1-1 draw against Bolga All Stars to the late Sam Ardey.
The Scientific Soccer lads were pegged back by Noah Neequaye’s 60th minute strike but Bernard Arthur quickly restored parity in the 64th minute mark to win a vital point for his side in week 11 of the Ghana Premier League at the Tamale Utrecht Park on Sunday.
“For the past four games, I’ve not hit the back of the net and I’m delight to have broken that spell today and I dedicate it to the late Sam Ardey,” Arthur said.
“I cannot complain much about the result because both sides went in for the maximum points and also when you take the weather condition into consideration I believe we’ve done well.”
“Not many teams can come here and compete under this harsh condition. We will go back and prepare for our next game.”
Liberty climb to 8th on the table with 13 points from 11 games.
