Marshallans console bishops on death of Archbishop

Accra, Jan 11, GNA - A delegation of the Knights and Ladies of Marshall has called on Most Rev. Charles Palmer-Buckle, Vice President of the Ghana Catholic Bishops' Conference, to express its condolences on the death of Most Rev. Lucas Abadamloora. Most Rev. Abadamloora, Bishop of the Navrongo-Bolgatanga Diocese and President of the Ghana Catholic Bishops' Conference, died on December 23 at Bolgatanga.

The delegation, led by Sir Kt. Bro. Anthony Kemavor, the Supreme Knight, requested Archbishop Palmer-Buckle to extend its sympathies to the bereaved Navrongo-Bolgatanga Diocese. Sir Kt. Kemavor assured the Bishops' Conference of the full support of the Marshallan fraternity for a befitting burial for the late Bishop. Archbishop Palmer-Buckle thanked the Marshallans for their concern and support for the hierarchy of the Church.

The Archbishop described Bishop Abadamloora as peace- loving and said the greatest tribute Ghanaians could pay him was to develop goodwill towards one another to ensure peace in the country. He said Ghanaians should not take the present peace enjoyed in the country for granted but to realize that it is the manifestation of God's love for Ghana.
